Hershey, Twizzler & Snickers

These three sweet girls, Hershey, Twizzler, and Snickers, are looking for patient and understanding homes where they can blossom. They arrived with their sisters from a hoarding situation and had very little human contact, meaning they are quite shy and will need time to learn to trust. All three are between 2 and 4 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and house-trained. They have been with their foster group since March 2024 and have made wonderful progress, but they still need further socialization. Currently, they do not allow petting or being picked up, but with the right guidance, they can learn to feel secure. They all get along well with other dogs and cats.

Ideal Home

A home with a patient and experienced adopter who understands the needs of shy animals. Someone with knowledge of proper socialization techniques is essential, especially for Hershey, who is the shiest. A calm environment where they can slowly build trust would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

All three girls are spayed, microchipped, and up to date on their vaccinations. They are considered to have special needs due to their socialization requirements.

Training & Support

These girls will require ongoing work on socialization and learning to trust humans. They do not currently allow petting or being picked up. Twizzler and Snickers are showing good progress with their foster mom, allowing more interaction, which is a great sign! Hershey will require the most dedicated effort in this area.

Transporation

Hershey is being fostered in Picayune, MS. Twizzler and Snickers are being fostered in Poplarville, MS. Transport may be available to approved adopters.
