Jericho

Jericho is a 3-year-old, 54-pound tan pit bull with a big heart, a quiet nature, and a whole lot of potential. He's gentle in spirit and doesn't bark, which is one of his best qualities. Jericho is also crate trained and will even put himself to bed if his kennel door is left open. He loves exercise and puzzle toys, anything that works his brain and body. He's a power chewer, so he'll need plenty of sturdy toys, with Nylabones being his absolute favorite.

Ideal Home

Jericho is great with children 5 and up, but small children and toddlers scare him. He is good with other dogs. A home with cats is not recommended as he can be a bit too curious for comfort.

Ongoing Health

Jericho is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

Jericho has completed a four-week training program and his foster has continued working closely with his trainer. He still needs someone who knows what they're doing and is not a dog for a first-time dog owner. He needs an adopter with real dog experience who is confident, consistent, and committed to following through on his training. Jericho can be pushy, mouthy, and will jump up if allowed. He doesn't have door manners yet and will try to shove his way through if excited. With structure, he responds beautifully. He is smart, eager, and thrives when shown what to do.

Transporation

Jericho is currently in Waterloo, SC. He can be transported out of state for the right home. There is a transport fee.
