Lola Irwin

Lola is a beautiful 8-year-old German Shepherd mix who weighs 52 lbs. She was surrendered to a local shelter when her family lost their home and came to us on June 5th. Lola can be a little anxious in her kennel, but once she's out and about, her sweet, calm, and gentle nature shines through. She does well with other dogs in play yards, walks nicely on leash, loves affection and pets, and is a good girl for baths. Lola thoroughly enjoys pup cups and has earned rave reviews from volunteers during solo outings to parks, stores, and coffee shops. She is friendly towards new people and makes friends wherever she goes! One volunteer shared that an afternoon with Lola is like: "Lola and I went to the park. She relaxed in the cool shady grass, sniffed all the things while slowly strolling and enjoyed a pup cup on the way back. Lola soaked up every minute of being out and about. She was quiet, observant and grateful for the change of scenery. This girl is so very sweet and gentle."
