Meet Myriad Ranch. Hi - my name is Janis Davis and my husband and I live near Redding, CA. I had my first Airedale when I was 8 years old. My Uncle was an avid hunter and had an Airedale named Rocky. One night, Rocky was nearly drowned in a pond by a big raccoon. The raccoon took him under water several times in the fight and when Rocky came up to the surface, he was swimming vertically. My uncle shined the flash light on his face, so Rocky could see him, and Rocky made it back to him on the shore. Rocky swam vertically from that point on and so my uncle gifted him to our family. One thing to note, Rocky was always willing to go back in the water, just dog paddled vertically. When my husband and I met, I had an Airedale. It was my husband’s his first experience with one and he fell in love with me and the dog! We bred Airedales in 1994 and then kept an Airedale or two as family farm dogs since. We have had them all for their life, averaging from 10-14 years. It was becoming increasingly difficult to find a puppy when we were ready for another, so I decided to begin breeding again. Not only breeding them, but also advancing in training them in multiple disciplines – the very thing they were bred for. So far, we have advanced in obedience and personal protection dog training. Additionally, I enjoy teaching the public that we encounter about them, they are NOT Poodle crosses! They really are an All-Around dog, The king of the Terriers – Intelligent, Hunter, Family, Farm, Fierce Protector, Friendly, Courageous and much more! I have heard that they are why the first world war was won. I am sure you know about them and that is why you are reading this far! Additionally, this litter has AKC Champion bloodlines. We had had comments on some of them being awesome family dogs and squirrel hunters yet looking like show dogs! We may occasionally have an older PUP available. Please feel free to check with us! Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
