Meet Olive! This sweet girl is looking for a second chance at her forever home. Olive is a dog who truly embodies the spirit of rescue – she's not perfect, but the love she has to offer is immense. With a little extra patience and understanding, you'll find she's capable of giving the most rewarding companionship.
Olive was one of the first dogs adopted out by our rescue, and she's been in a loving home for about three years. Sadly, she and the other resident dog just haven't been able to get along, despite her family's best efforts. The situation has become too stressful for everyone, and after much consideration, they've made the difficult decision that it's time for Olive to find a new environment that's a better fit for her.
Olive can be a bit cautious and needs time to warm up to new things, people, and environments. Hats and sunglasses aren't her favorite, but she absolutely adores water – she loves it so much that she'll submerge her whole snout when she drinks! She's very food motivated and walks nicely on a leash. When she's not on the move, she's a 45-pound snuggle bug. Car rides aren't her favorite due to motion sickness, but she's making progress with practice!
Ideal Home
Olive would thrive in a home that can provide her with the patience needed to help her build confidence and overcome her fears. She needs a family willing to invest the time and effort to show her the love she deserves. She would do best as the only pet in the household and would love to shower her family with all her affection. While she can go on walks and isn't reactive, she's not a social butterfly and will be happiest spending her time at home with her loved ones.

Olive is muzzle trained. She is food motivated and does well on a leash. Car rides are a work in progress due to motion sickness.
