Penny

Meet Penny! Penny is a 2-year-old pit bull terrier mix, weighing around 48 pounds. She's a survivor, rescued from a high-kill shelter down south. Once in foster care, we discovered she was pregnant and bravely gave birth to three healthy puppies. Now that her mama duties are winding down, Penny is ready to find her own happily ever after! She's a sweet and energetic girl who thrives on activity and loves to get the zoomies out. Penny is athletic and would likely excel at dog sports! She can be a little shy initially, but a few treats and a little time will have her warming up to you in no time. She particularly enjoys "Fromm Crunchy O's" treats! Penny is dog-friendly when introduced slowly and properly, and she does best with submissive dogs her size or larger. Because Penny can resource guard her food, treats, and toys, we recommend an experienced home without small children. She has beautiful blue eyes and a zest for life! Penny's house-training status is currently being assessed. A fenced-in yard is a must for Penny to safely play and burn off that amazing energy. She is up-to-date on her shots and is spayed.

Ideal Home

Penny needs a home that enjoys being active and can provide her with plenty of exercise. She requires a fenced-in yard for safe play. Due to her resource guarding tendencies, homes with small children are not recommended.
