Meet Chico A Little Sass, A Lot of Love!
At 8 years old and approximately 15 pounds, Chico is a Maltipoo with a big personality packed into a small, fluffy package. If you're looking for a dog with character, confidence, and plenty of opinions, Chico may just be your perfect match.
Chico has spent much of his life being adored, and quite frankly, he thinks that's exactly how things should be. He's a charming little guy who isn't shy about letting you know what he likes, what he doesn't like, and how he'd prefer things to be done. His foster family lovingly describes him as "15 pounds of straight sass."
While Chico can be particular, he's also making wonderful progress in foster care. His foster has worked hard to set him up for success and is happy to help his future family understand the routines and boundaries that help him thrive. Chico does best in a home without small children and with people who appreciate a dog with personality and respect his preferences.
A few things Chico isn't particularly fond of include watching his people leave and being asked multiple times to go into his kennel. However, with consistency and patience, he continues to make great strides and has shown that he's more than capable of learning and adapting.
When he's not busy supervising the household, Chico can usually be found enjoying one of his favorite things in the worldhis pillow. He also absolutely adores his puppy foster sister and enjoys having canine companionship around.
Chico is looking for a family that will appreciate him for exactly who he is: a funny, loyal, sometimes opinionated little dog with a huge heart and plenty of love to give. In return, you'll gain a devoted companion who will keep you entertained every single day.
Chico's adoption fee is $300.
All adoption fees are tax-deductible and help support the rescue and care of homeless pets. Chico will go home with a leash, collar, two bowls, a toy, some food, and copies of all medical and microchip information to help make his transition into his new home as smooth as possible
