Oreo

Meet Oreo! This adorable 2.5-year-old, 10lb pup is a charming mix that resembles a Chihuahua and Scruffy Terrier. Oreo's journey to us was through a hoarding situation, and as a result, he's a very shy and timid boy who needs a loving family to show him the world can be a wonderful place. He's making great strides in his foster home, learning to trust and blossom with patience and kindness.

Ideal Home

Oreo would thrive in a calm and quiet environment where he can continue to build his confidence. He absolutely needs a home with another small (25 lbs and under), young, and confident dog to be his friend and role model. A securely fenced yard is a must, as he is currently a flight risk, though we're confident this will improve as he settles in.

Ongoing Health

Oreo is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Oreo is already house-trained and has wonderful house manners. He sleeps soundly in bed with his foster mom and resident dog, and doesn't require crating. His biggest need is gentle patience and understanding as he continues to learn to trust.

• A vet check of your current and past pets is a crucial part of our approval process. We will be speaking with your listed veterinarian to ensure all pets are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies), spayed/neutered, on appropriate monthly preventatives, and have received annual exams.

Transportation

Oreo is currently located with our rescue in New Jersey. We can provide transport within a reasonable distance.
