Meet Venus!
Venus is a 5-year-old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, weighing around 45 lbs. She's a truly sweet and affectionate girl who will gently rest her head on your lap and gaze at you like you're her whole world. Venus is calm and people-oriented, happy to match your energy whether you're relaxing on the couch or seeking an outdoor adventure. She loves to play with toys and enjoys interactive games with her humans. Her zoomies and little "woo" of excitement are part of her fun, goofy charm. Venus also adores playing in water, whether it's a kiddie pool or a stream on a trail. She rides great in the car, making her a perfect companion for road trips, park visits, or trail days.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family. She shows a strong interest in chasing cats, so a cat-free home or one with very dog-savvy cats would be best. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well in a family with older, respectful kids who understand boundaries.

Training & Support
Venus enjoys daily walks and is learning to improve her leash manners, as she can pull some, but she's a quick learner and very food motivated. She is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.

Transportation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible. Transports run every few weeks, and approved dogs will be on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
