Chip is a 2-year-old, neutered male, approximately 60 lb Pit Bull mix with a heart as sweet as his name! He's a playful, curious, and loving boy looking for a patient and experienced adopter. Chip is a true "Velcro dog," always wanting to be by his people's side. While he can be a little cautious with new faces at first, once he trusts you, he'll be your most loyal companion. He's crate-trained, potty-trained, and loves spending time outdoors. Chip also has a flair for fashion and is known to rock costumes with enthusiasm! He's done well with calm, dog-friendly siblings in his foster home and enjoys a good play session. Chip would do best with canine companions who are calm and submissive, or he could be the only dog in the home as long as he gets opportunities for social outings. He does ask to live in a cat-free household.
Ideal Home
Chip would thrive with an experienced adopter who understands his need for patience and reassurance. He loves to be with his people and can experience anxiety when left alone, though he's working on this and can be crated. He would love a family that enjoys his companionship on outings and can continue his training. Chip has done well with older children and would do best in a home without cats.
Ongoing Health
Chip is a healthy boy with no specific health conditions mentioned.
Training & Support
Chip is crate-trained and potty-trained. He is working on his separation anxiety and can be crated when left alone. He would benefit from continued training and socialization, especially with other dogs, using slow introductions.
