Meet Trooper!

Trooper is a handsome 2.5-year-old, 60-pound companion who's looking for a quiet home to call his own. He's the type of dog who will happily follow you around, snooze nearby, and make every day a little brighter with his gentle presence. Trooper is a very smart boy who is fully housebroken, kennel trained, and doesn't shed. He already knows commands like "stay," "come," "lay down," and "quiet." He walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and is happiest when he's with his favorite person. Trooper has a tender heart and responds best to kindness, encouragement, and consistency. He's not a loud or demanding dog; he simply wants to feel safe and loved. He enjoys cozy naps, watching the world from a patio, peaceful car rides, gentle playtime, and being wherever you are.

Ideal Home

Trooper would thrive in a home where he can be a true companion and not be left alone for long hours due to his mild separation anxiety. He has done well with other dogs and ignores barking dogs on walks.

Trooper is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Trooper is housebroken and kennel trained, and he listens exceptionally well. His protective instincts are easily redirected. He needs a home that can offer him the consistency and kindness he thrives on.

Transportation

Trooper is currently located near Houston, TX, but can be transported to a location near you through Wags' transport service, which runs once a month. The adoption fee is $395, plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.
