Meet Rac, the raccoony pooch! This handsome Husky mix weighs in at 62 lbs and his estimated birthday is March 11, 2023. Rac got his adorable nickname from his striking raccoon-like markings. He's an incredibly outgoing and active guy who radiates happiness, especially when he gets to play zoomies with his doggy pals or engage in toy-time with his foster dad. Long walks and new adventures are his jam, though he's still working on his car-loading skills – but once he's in, he loves the ride and the journey! Rac can be a little shy at first, but with some patience and trust-building, he blossoms into a devoted best friend.
Rac's story is one of resilience. He was rescued from a harsh winter freeze after being found roaming without shelter. A kind neighbor had been feeding him but couldn't take him in. Thankfully, a friend connected his foster dad with Rac, and he was rescued. He even spent some time with a trainer to help him adjust to indoor living. Now, he's thriving in a loving foster home with doggy siblings, but he's a bit too energetic for kitties. His foster dad describes him as incredibly sweet and a big fan of attention.

Rac would absolutely thrive in an active home where he can go on hikes, play with energetic canine companions, and snuggle with his loved ones. He's eager to try new things and enjoys car rides! He's looking for a family who can offer him patience and unconditional love.
Ongoing Health
Rac is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered.
