Pumpkin Lumpkin is a two-year-old Redbone Coonhound mix with a personality as sweet and soft as melted marshmallow. She's a low-maintenance lady who enjoys the simple pleasures in life: a comfy couch, a sunny spot, and the company of her favorite humans. Her dramatic, floppy ears are a standout feature, bouncing when she walks and pooling around her when she rests. Pumpkin is incredibly tolerant and sweet with people, greeting everyone with gentle enthusiasm. She's also a polite and unproblematic companion to other dogs, preferring a calm coexistence over boisterous play. She has shown positive interactions with calm, dog-savvy cats. While she hasn't been officially tested with children, her gentle and easygoing nature suggests she could be a wonderful family dog. Pumpkin is currently on a wellness journey, carrying a little extra fluff, but she remains a happy and easygoing girl who enjoys leisurely strolls and sniffing adventures.
Ideal Home
Pumpkin would thrive in a home that embraces a slower pace of life. She'd love a soft couch for naps, opportunities for leisurely sniffy walks, and humans who appreciate her magnificent floppy ears. She would do well as a spoiled solo princess or with another respectful, lower-energy dog. A chill cat companion who likes peaceful coexistence would also be a good fit. While she might adapt to an apartment with a yard or a hound-friendly setting, she can occasionally be vocal about her opinions.

Pumpkin is currently on a wellness journey due to carrying some extra fluff. She can get tired quickly but is otherwise a happy and healthy girl.
Training & Support
Pumpkin walks beautifully on leash and is described as incredibly easy and sweet in the home. She is not demanding, chaotic, or overly energetic. Her trainer has advised that snacks should be given in moderation.

Pumpkin is located in Texas. Transportation is available nationwide through our rescue's USDA-certified transport system, with drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. A surcharge of $87 applies for transportation.
