Meet Axel Rose! This handsome Basenji/Terrier mix is about 26lbs with an estimated birthday of April 5, 2024. Axel is a friendly boy who loves other dogs and enjoys making new canine friends. He has a unique way of introducing himself – he likes to talk to get your attention, but once you say hello, his barks quickly turn into tail wags and affection. He simply wants to be noticed and loved. Axel is potty trained and does well inside the home, enjoying relaxing on the couch or playing zoomies in the backyard. He is still working on his leash manners and would benefit from a family willing to help him build confidence on walks. Axel's story began when he was found abandoned in an empty apartment, but despite his past, he remains incredibly loving and trusting. We don't know how he feels about cats yet, but he can be tested for interested adopters. If you're looking for a sweet, entertaining companion, Axel Rose may be the perfect addition to your family.

Transportation
Axel is located in Houston, Texas, and transport is included in the adoption fee. Pickup locations may vary, including to nearby towns or states. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
