Meet Betsy Blue, a wiggly, talkative, piglet-sounding sweetheart who's about two years old. We believe she's a Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pittie mix, and with her unique one blue, one brown eye, floppy ears, and gorgeous coloring, she's as stunning as she is silly. Betsy can be a little shy when meeting new people, often giving a "drive by bump" to test the waters before showering you with her signature wiggles. But once she warms up, her joyful, snorty, and hilarious personality shines through. Her foster parent says she sounds like a piglet when she gets excited and she's known to jump for joy when her favorite people arrive. If you're lucky enough to be in Betsy's inner circle, you'll be greeted with wags, wiggles, and the most loving gaze imaginable. She deeply loves her people and is ready to share that love with you.

Betsy would thrive in a quieter home where she can truly decompress and gain confidence. She would do best with a family who understands the beauty of patience and can allow her to warm up on her own terms. Older children who can respect her space would be a great match.

Betsy is an active girl who loves her walks and is a dream on the leash. She's a toy enthusiast, especially for small plush cat toys, and is highly treat-motivated, making her easy and fun to train. She's a smart cookie, picking up new commands quickly. While she can be shy with other dogs at first, she blossoms into a playful companion with time and patience. She has also done well with cats, proving capable of settling in peacefully and even wrestling with her feline foster siblings (dog-savvy cats are best!).

Betsy is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue-run, USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (pickup in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track her journey in real time and receive photo updates.
