URGENT Indie

This sweet girl is Indie, a 1 to 2-year-old APB/Staffy mix with a heart full of resilience and a spirit yearning for a safe haven. Indie's journey has been tough; she's overcome being attacked by other dogs and endured human neglect, leaving her with visible and invisible scars. Despite her past trauma, Indie is a testament to the enduring power of hope, still seeking connection and love with soft, searching eyes. She's cautious at first, but a few treats can quickly win her over, revealing her playful and affectionate nature. Indie doesn't need a perfect life, just a peaceful environment where she can finally feel safe, cherished, and truly at home.

Ideal Home

Indie would thrive in a home where she can experience comfort and rest without fear. She's dog and kid-friendly, but may be a little hesitant around new dogs initially, needing a moment to trust.

Ongoing Health

Indie was treated for a uterine infection and her wounds are healing.

Training & Support

Indie is crate trained and doesn't suffer from separation anxiety. She is currently working on potty training. She's good on a leash and highly food motivated, which can be a great asset in training. Indie responds well to corrections and is eager to continue her basic training with a patient and loving owner. A unique quirk is her tendency to "punch" people with love when excited – it's a sign of her affection, and the team is working with her on this playful habit.
