Bucky

Bucky is a 10-month-old German Shepherd, Poodle, and Golden Retriever mix who currently weighs about 60 pounds. He has made incredible progress since arriving at Rescue Row, transforming from a scared shelter pup into a dog who is learning to trust the world. Bucky is a sweetheart who truly aims to please his people. While he initially struggled with separation anxiety, he's now learning to settle independently and is improving with crate time when his foster family leaves. His trainers have provided valuable tools to help him gain confidence around new people, and he's even done well with out-of-town guests! Bucky is also working on his leash manners, which is an important skill for this strong boy. A special moment for Bucky was when he finally felt comfortable enough to hop onto the couch for a cuddle session, showing how far he's come.

Ideal Home

Bucky is looking for a patient family who will continue to help him build trust and confidence. He would do best with another playful dog who can show him the ropes. He needs someone who is home most of the time and cannot live in an apartment.

Bucky can still be fearful of new people, especially when they enter the home or try to pet him. He is also working on polite leash manners due to his strength. He will benefit from a family that continues his training and socialization efforts.
