Artie is a fun-loving, high-energy girl who is always ready for her next adventure! At 3 years old and weighing 32 pounds, this Terrier mix is incredibly smart, playful, and affectionate. She absolutely loves people and greets new friends with pure excitement and a wagging tail. Artie thrives on activity and will bring enthusiasm and joy wherever she goes, whether it's a game of fetch, a run in the yard, or zooming around with her favorite toys. She's independent, outgoing, curious, and wonderfully silly, ready to make you laugh daily, keep you moving, and then snuggle up beside you.
Ideal Home
Artie thrives in an active environment and will do best with a family that enjoys walks, playtime, and outdoor activities. She has done well with large dogs (50-100 lbs) in her foster home, though slow introductions are important. While she hasn't been around cats or children, her friendly personality suggests she could do well with proper introductions. A yard or open space to run would be a huge bonus, and while she doesn't need another dog, she would likely enjoy a playful canine companion. She should continue to be crated when left alone as she is curious.

Artie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
Training & Support
Artie is house-trained and crate-trained, settling in her crate after initial whining. She may be a little on edge and protective of her toys initially but quickly backs off. On leash, she may bark or pull when she sees other dogs, so continued training will help her polish those manners. Her ideal home will be patient and ready to continue her training, especially helping her learn to settle calmly and share toys more comfortably.

Transporation
Artie is currently located in San Antonio, Texas, and is available to transport out of state to an adopter. Transport is included in our adoption donation and runs every few weeks.
