Bear Buddy Heart

Bear is a handsome, approximately 1-year-old, 60lb pittie mix with a big presence and an even bigger heart. He's a confident, people-loving guy who approaches life with enthusiasm and curiosity. Bear is eager to learn and responsive, especially with his treat motivation making training a joy. He absolutely shines when it comes to people skills, seeking connection in a warm and easy way. Bear is also fully house and crate trained, a wonderful head start for his new family!

Ideal Home

Bear would thrive in a home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training. He would do well with a confident, calm, larger female dog who won't be overwhelmed by his playful energy. A dog-savvy, confident cat and slow introductions are essential for a peaceful feline coexistence.

Ongoing Health

Bear is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and has been spayed/neutered.

Training & Support

Bear is still working on leash manners, especially containing his excitement when he sees other dogs. He responds well to corrections and can settle with clear, consistent handling. While social and interested in other dogs, his play can sometimes be a bit too enthusiastic due to his puppy-like energy. With proper introductions and structure, he can be a wonderful playmate.

Bear is located in Texas. Transportation is available nationwide through our rescue-run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. Pick-up locations for Canadian adopters are Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT.
