About Kahuna

Meet Kahuna!

Kahuna came into our care through a local animal control partner after his guardian was no longer able to care for him. Staff and volunteers have quickly fallen in love with this block-headed beauty! In Hawaiian, "kahuna" means an expert or a skilled practitioner. This brindle boy definitely lives up to his name - his prowess lies in living life to its fullest! Kahuna is a professional at swimming in kiddie pools (he even holds his breath and dunks his head in), fetching tennis balls, and giving the best snuggles you could ask for. He doesn't always understand how big he is, but you can count on him to approach life with some vim and vigor, and a can-do attitude. Kahuna is a friend of all, and would love to find a family happy to take him out and about to explore the wide wonderful world, and to enthusiastically accept his cuddles at the end of a long day. At around two years old, Kahuna is maturing into a fine young gentleman. Kahuna has so much love for the world, and it is a gift to be on the receiving end. He is ready to find his next home, committed to adoring him the way he deserves!

Ideal Home

An ideal home for Kahuna would be one that is just as active as he is, and is willing to spend long hours out hitting the trails and exploring. He also will thrive in a home committed to giving him the structure his growing brain needs, with adopters who are able to help him rest and relax, just as much as get him running around.

Ongoing Health

No ongoing health concerns were mentioned.
