Holly is estimated to be just shy of 4 years old and weighs around 60 lbs. She's likely a pittie/staffie mix with a lovable, barrel-shaped body perfect for snuggles. Everyone who meets Holly agrees she's all in and always a good time! She's wiggly, affectionate, and lights up when people are around. Holly is also a smart cookie, with a solid start on basic commands like "sit" and "come," and she even knows "drop it"—impressive for a dog who considers toys a way of life!

Her favorite pastime is happily gnawing on her beloved stuffies, sometimes giving them a little "de-fluffing" project. In the evenings, Holly naturally winds down and enjoys joining her people on the couch for TV time. She loves to be close, whether resting beside you or leaning in for gentle cuddles. She's not demanding; she just enjoys being included, bouncing from person to person to see who's available for some affection.

Holly lives harmoniously in a busy household with four children (ages 3, 5, 12, and 14) and is fantastic with all of them. She also shows wonderful patience and acceptance towards a 17-year-old with special needs (Down syndrome and autism), handling the environment with ease and never showing concern. She often approaches and gives kisses. Holly's adaptability to various environments is a standout quality. You'll often find her playing fetch, learning new commands, or simply resting by the kids' side, fitting seamlessly into the household's rhythm. She is also very welcoming to visitors, never barking when people enter and settling in quickly. Her favorite part of the day is Grandpa's arrival, eagerly awaiting extra belly scratches.

Holly is crate-trained and willingly enters her crate when asked. She's a wonderful car rider and handles routine changes well, making her an easy companion for daily life. Food is a major topic of interest for Holly; she loves her treats and takes them very gently. She'll happily volunteer as your sous chef while you're cooking, observing from nearby, happy to sit or step out of the kitchen as requested.

With other dogs, Holly is social and confident. She's currently fostered with a small male terrier mix and an older, more dominant female dog, showing mindfulness and respect when they aren't interested in playing, and she does a nice job sharing space. Holly reads other dogs well and adjusts her behavior appropriately. However, she would also truly enjoy a playful canine friend. She loves playgroups and visiting her favorite doggy pals. Her best playmates are those who can match or appreciate her rowdy, happy, bouncy play style. Holly is regularly involved in behavior assessments for new rescue dogs due to her consistent and reliable nature when meeting new dogs. Whether it's an on-leash greeting or joining a playgroup, Holly is confident and keeps things fun. If joining a home with another dog, Holly will bring the party, as long as her new buddy speaks "bounce" fluently.

Holly's love for toys is immense! She'll joyfully trot around with any toy she receives, looking goofy and happy. Bigger, softer stuffies are a favorite, especially if they're a bit too big to fit in her mouth, making for hilarious sight as she ambles along, barely visible over her prize. On sunny days, her signature move is the "happy-flop": she'll fetch her favorite stick or rubber toy, drop it like precious cargo, and then dramatically roll all over it in the grass, belly to the sky, with a huge pittie smile.
