Maisy is a roughly 1-2 year old bundle of puppy energy who was found abandoned and in rough shape. She's heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped, and is ready to shower her new family with love! Maisy is a smart cookie who already knows 'sit,' 'down,' and 'give paw.' She's incredibly food-motivated and learns quickly, especially when blueberries are involved – she even loves them straight off the bush! She enjoys a daily mile-long walk and is both potty trained and crate trained. While Maisy may not realize her 40-pound size, she adores cuddling and receiving back rubs, often trying to fit herself onto her foster mom's lap.
Ideal Home
Maisy would thrive in a home that can provide a consistent schedule and routine, which will help her manage anxiety. She needs a family willing to dedicate ample time and attention to her. Due to her size and enthusiastic greetings, a home without small children is best, as she has not been tested with them. She can be a bit boisterous with smaller dogs, so a home without one is recommended. She has not been tested with cats. A six-foot fenced backyard is required to accommodate her energy levels.
Ongoing Health
Maisy is heartworm negative, spayed, and microchipped.
Training & Support
Maisy is a chewer when bored, anxious, or understimulated, so keeping her engaged and mentally stimulated is key. She needs further training with leash manners and to curb counter and people-jumping.
