Odin Bear has the kind of face that makes you smile before he's even done anything! Then he does something goofy and you're completely done for. Maybe it's the long legs he's still figuring out how to coordinate, or maybe it's the tail that seems to have a mind of its own. Whatever it is, this handsome boy has a way of making people fall for him fast. Odin is approximately 5 months old, currently weighs around 35 lbs, and we believe he may be a German Shepherd/Bloodhound mix. He still has plenty of growing left to do and while we can't predict exactly how big he'll become, we do think he's going to grow into a pretty substantial boy. He's affectionate, playful, curious, and always interested in what everyone else is doing. He loves being included and has a happy, easygoing personality that makes him fun to be around. Odin is very food motivated, which makes him a great candidate for continued training. He's eager, engaged, and already enjoys learning new things. He is also learning to love playing with toys, and while he hasn't quite gotten the concept of "fetch" down yet, he's a pretty cute dude when he pounces. Odin has been great meeting other dogs and seems to genuinely enjoy making new friends. He would likely enjoy having a playful canine buddy in the home. He also met a cat and was playful around him, giving him play bows and even kisses. If you have a cat in the home, we can arrange for him to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Odin is crate trained and is doing great learning where the appropriate potty places are. Like all puppies, he's counting on his future family to continue helping him learn the ropes and become the best version of himself.
Ideal Home
Because Odin has typical puppy energy and is likely going to be a fairly large dog, we think he'd do best in a home with a backyard where he has room to run, play, and stretch his legs.
Ongoing Health
Odin is up to date on all age-appropriate vetting, which includes vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and he has been spayed/neutered.
Training & Support
Odin is crate trained and is doing well with potty training, but he will need continued routine, consistency, and structure as he grows. His food motivation makes him eager to learn, and he's already enjoying training.

Odin is currently in Texas and we facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system. We have drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. An $87 surcharge applies due to rising transportation costs.
