Rootie

My name is Rootie, and I'm an 8-year-old, 60 lb. male Black Labrador Retriever. My life has had some ups and downs, but I'm finally ready to find my forever home. I was rescued from a homeless encampment in Southern California and am still a bit shy and timid in new surroundings. I need a patient and loving person or people who can help me feel comfortable and come out of my shell. I might take a little time to adjust, but I promise I'm worth it. I'm in good health and eager to experience the love and security I deserve.

Ideal Home

A patient and loving home where I can take my time adjusting to my new surroundings. A soft bed and a quiet environment would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

I am in good health and have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

I am house-trained. I may need some gentle guidance as I adjust to my new environment and learn to trust. Patience and positive reinforcement will go a long way with me.
