Odin

Odin is a 10-year-old, 13-pound Yorkshire Terrier mix who has completely stolen everyone's heart. This sweet little gentleman may be a senior, but he still has plenty of love to give and is ready to find a family of his own. He is housebroken, fits perfectly into your arms for snuggles, and is not intimidated by loud noises like thunderstorms. He rarely barks, but if he does, look for a pesky squirrel in his sight. Odin is non-destructive and is allowed the run of the house. At night, he sleeps in a crate in his foster's bedroom. His requirements are few, and he's an easy dog to have around. He was a perfect passenger on an hour-plus car ride home, resting quietly in his crate. He greeted his foster's resident dog appropriately and was curious as he explored the backyard, quickly settling into life indoors. Odin knows how to make himself comfortable, whether on a dog bed, a chair, or the couch. Although we don't know much about his past, it's obvious he has lived in a home before and understands the comforts of family life. He's happy with short walks, enjoys mealtime, sleeps well in his crate, and has a calm, relaxed personality that makes him a joy to have around. He is remarkably easy-going and has been one of the easiest foster dogs his foster has welcomed. We're still learning about Odin, including whether he is fully housebroken. For now, he wears a belly band indoors since his foster home has hosted many foster dogs over the years and still carries plenty of canine scents. As we continue getting to know him, we're confident he'll keep showing us what a special little guy he is. Odin has some areas of sparse hair growth; veterinarians have evaluated him, and no medical cause has been identified. We believe that with good nutrition, proper care, and a healthy lifestyle, his coat may continue to improve over time. What stands out most about Odin is his sweet nature. Despite whatever challenges he may have faced in the past, he remains trusting, affectionate, and eager to please. He loves people, enjoys being close to his humans, and happily accepts all the cuddles and attention you can give. If you're sitting nearby, don't be surprised if he gradually scoots closer until he's right beside you, soaking up every pet and snuggle. Ideal Home

Odin is looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and companionship. We cannot adopt to families with children under the age of six.

Ongoing Health

Odin has some areas of sparse hair growth. He has been evaluated by veterinarians, and no medical cause has been identified. We believe that with good nutrition, proper care, and a healthy lifestyle, his coat may continue to improve over time.

Training & Support

Odin is housebroken and a non-destructive dog. He sleeps well in his crate. We are still learning about Odin, including whether he is fully housebroken. For now, he wears a belly band indoors.
