Pinto

Meet Pinto! Pinto is a delightful approximately 1-year-old Chihuahua Mix who has overcome a lot and is ready for his forever home. He comes from a challenging background, having lived in a hoarding situation with over 40 other dogs in unsanitary conditions. This means Pinto is still learning about the world and human interaction, requiring patience and understanding from his new family. He is used to living with other dogs and would benefit from a home with a confident, friendly canine companion to show him the ropes. Pinto is a sensitive soul who finds comfort in his kennel and his favorite stuffed toy when he needs a break. He also enjoys his dog bed in his outdoor run, happily using his doggy door.

Ideal Home

Pinto would thrive in a home with at least one other friendly dog to guide him. He is not recommended for homes with small children due to his sensitive nature and need for a calm environment. Older children or adults who can provide a quiet, predictable space and understand his need for patience would be a great fit.

Ongoing Health

Pinto is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Pinto is still learning to walk on a leash and may need extra time and positive reinforcement to feel comfortable with this new skill. His new family should be prepared for a potentially long emotional recovery and be dedicated to helping him build confidence and trust.
