Daffy is a 2-year-old, neutered male Plott Hound Mix weighing about 65 pounds. He's a resilient and fun-loving boy who was rescued from the euthanasia list at BARC in Houston, Texas, just in the nick of time! Thanks to Dizzy Dog Animal Rescue and his amazing foster mom, Daffy has been given a second chance at life and is now eagerly awaiting his furever family. He truly thrives on activity and companionship, and absolutely adores playing with other dogs, even earning honors at doggy daycare!
Ideal Home
Daffy would do best in a home with other playful dogs and an active family who can match his energy. Due to his size and enthusiasm, he'd be a better fit for a household with children over 10 years old, as he can sometimes forget his own strength when excited.

Training & Support
Daffy is fully house-trained and crate-trained, viewing his crate as his personal sanctuary for meals. He's a food lover who uses a slow feeder bowl to savor his meals. He also knows his name and comes when called, and loves to play fetch. Like many energetic youngsters, Daffy is still working on his leash manners, as he tends to pull and zigzag, but he's eager to learn with consistent guidance. To prevent any "relocation" of household items to the yard when unsupervised, crating him while you're away is recommended. With patience and training, Daffy will continue to blossom into the wonderful companion he's destined to be.
