About Cooper

Cooper is a sweet 7-year-old Beagle mix with a big heart, ready for a fresh start and a loving home. He came to the shelter after getting a little too adventurous and finding himself lost, leading to his surrender by his previous owners. Now, he's looking forward to beginning his next chapter with a family who will cherish him forever. Cooper is known to be great with other dogs but is intimidated by cats. He arrived underweight with some skin issues, but with a little TLC, he's well on his way to feeling much better. He's easygoing, walks well on a leash, knows how to sit, and greets everyone with a happy tail wag. Cooper enjoys affection but is also content to relax nearby on his own. With a low to medium energy level, he would thrive in a calm home environment. While he's not particularly interested in toys, his gentle companionship and steady presence more than make up for it.

Ideal Home

Cooper would fit beautifully into a calm and relaxed home. Because of his history of wandering, we recommend a securely fenced yard to ensure his safety. He is intimidated by cats.

Ongoing Health

Cooper arrived underweight and with some non-contagious skin issues, but he is already on the path to feeling much better with care.

Training & Support

Cooper is great on leash and knows how to sit on command. He takes treats gently and is easy to handle.
