Ash is a large-to-XL Chesapeake Bay Retriever with a brilliant mind, a loyal heart, and a love for life that shines through in everything he does. Ash is looking for a new home through no fault of his own. His owner is facing stage 4 cancer and can no longer care for him. This is a heartbreaking change for everyone involved, and we are committed to finding Ash the stable, loving home he deserves. Ash is good with dogs and people but does require slow, thoughtful introductions. Once he knows you, though, he really knows you - and once he chooses you, he's yours for life. His loyalty runs deep. He was raised with kids and continues to be friendly with them. He has no known allergies. However, Ash is not good with cats and will need a feline-free home.
