She's a skilled hunter and a beloved family pet, great with children, and enjoys both leisurely walks and upland hunting. Heavy Duty, the sire, comes from a distinguished UK champion bloodline and is a smart, blue roan tricolor gentleman. He's also wonderful with children and has been training for the autumn hunting season, ready for any terrain. All our dogs are kept healthy with regular exercise and strict diets, and are seen annually by a wonderful veterinarian. These pups are raised with lots of love, ensuring a peaceful transition to their new families.

Meet Brian Smith. Hickory's Trail is a kennel for Field Bred English Cockers. Hickory is the Sire I started with and is a beautiful blue roan. My breeding females currently are 2 neautiful red with white marking on face and neck. The nature of my dogs was the first thing I looked for when I got started. My dogs are family dogs and great with children and they also are great in the field. All the dogs at Hickory's Trail go through training at 6 months old and also train annually. Hickory is in the field the most. All the dogs at Hickory's trail are on a great diet plan. We manage our dogs and their socializing with other dogs. All the dogs are regularly checked at the vet and are all updated. We've placed dogs all over the country from New York to California. Some dogs are family dogs only and some also are sport dogs for upland bird hunting. They all have a keen sense for the field and have been terrific. We take a lot of pride in how we manage our dogs and how we breed.
