About Moose

Moose is a 9-month-old Shepsky with striking blue eyes and a heart brimming with affection. He's a fun-loving and energetic boy, always eager for his next adventure with his favorite people. Moose is dog-friendly and cat-friendly, and he thoroughly enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's exploring new trails, playing in the yard, or simply going for leisurely walks. He walks nicely on a leash and would be a fantastic companion for an active family.

Moose was rescued from a high-kill shelter and is still learning the ropes of house manners. As his foster parents work long hours, he'd greatly benefit from a family with a parent who works from home or stays at home, allowing for more frequent opportunities to learn housebreaking. He's a highly intelligent pup who learns quickly and is eager to please. Moose is incredibly people-oriented and loves to be close to his humans. He would be happy as an only dog, soaking up all the attention, but he also gets along well with other animals. He is very food-motivated, which makes him a prime candidate for training, and he beams with pride when called a "good boy." Moose is looking for an active family that understands he's still a young dog navigating the world. With continued guidance and appropriate management around food and toys with other dogs, he will undoubtedly become a devoted companion.

Ideal Home

An active family who can provide ongoing training and support. A home where someone can be present during the day to help with housebreaking would be ideal. Yards must be adequately and fully fenced; electric or underground fences are not accepted.

Ongoing Health

Moose is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative and is kept on heartworm and flea preventatives.

Training & Support

Moose is learning house manners and will benefit from consistent training and opportunities to go outside. He is food-motivated and eager to please, which will aid in his training. Guidance and appropriate management around food and toys with other dogs are recommended.
