Meet Flora! This beautiful, smart, and energetic girl had a rough start in life, abandoned on a rooftop and rescued by a local animal welfare officer. Flora has been with us since June 2022, and while she's a wonderful dog, she needs a very specific kind of home to truly thrive. She's a high-drive girl who blossoms with structure, ample space, and an experienced owner who can provide confident guidance. Flora generally does well with other dogs but prefers to be the top dog. The hustle and bustle of the shelter can be a bit much for her, and she's eager for a quieter, more stable environment. She's a fantastic walking companion, incredibly intelligent, and with the right leadership and ongoing training, she's ready to reach her full potential. Flora is loyal, loving, and waiting for that special person who can see her amazing qualities and help her shine.
Ideal Home
Flora needs a home with a fenced yard or a large property; apartments or condos are not suitable for her. An experienced adopter who can provide consistent structure and guidance is a must.

- Approved adopters are matched with flight companions (flight angels) traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.
Transportation
Flora is located near Bucerias, Mexico. We facilitate adoptions to the US and Canada, arranging for flight companions to transport dogs to their new homes. During summer months, if a Canadian flight angel isn't available, transportation may involve flying into the US and meeting adopters at Peace Arch Park at the border.
