- An alteration contract needs to be signed by an adopter to complete the adoption.
- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting provided to each dog. Puppy adoption fees (under 12 months) are higher due to the increased vetting required.
- The breed listed is an estimation by our rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included.
- Adopters are eligible for 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off for programs booked within 60-90 days.
- All adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group to share their stories and photos.
- We have a robust adoption process, with positive reviews from previous adopters available on Google and Facebook.

Shika is located in Houston, TX, and transport is included in the adoption fee.
