Yogi (& Tobi)

Meet the iconic duo, Yogi and Tobi! Yogi is an 8-year-old, 10lb red/orange chipom, and Tobi is a 9-year-old, 8lb white and tan chi. These two sweet seniors have been together through thick and thin, and now they're looking for a peaceful place to spend their golden years. They came to us after their previous owner passed away, and Tobi, in particular, has experienced some significant trauma, which is why they've been on hold. They are fully vaccinated, spayed and neutered, and Yogi even had an extensive dental cleaning.

Ideal Home

Yogi is a social butterfly with humans and loves meeting new people! However, she's not a fan of other dogs besides her brother, Tobi, and can be reactive on leash. Tobi is more of a relaxed shadow and generally doesn't mind other dogs. These two have sensitive tummies, so their new family must be willing to adhere to their special diets. Tobi values his space and prefers not to be touched without his explicit permission. While he's not a biter, he does have a very startling and loud scream when he feels his boundaries are crossed. He enjoys people and gets excited to see staff, but he will only allow himself to be picked up with the promise of going outside, and he sets a time limit for that! Tobi requires a patient adopter who is willing to learn his cues and approach him with understanding.

Ongoing Health

Both Yogi and Tobi have sensitive stomachs and require a special diet. Yogi recently underwent an extensive dental cleaning.

Training & Support

Tobi has a learning curve when it comes to how to approach and handle him. Our staff is patient and willing to demonstrate the best methods for interacting with him. We hope to find someone who will allow Tobi to simply exist and remain with his beloved sister.
