Hi! I am your future best friend and cuddle buddy! I’m Gunnar, a 6-year-old terrier mix with a good sprinkle of Chihuahua, Lab, and maybe a few other breeds, according to my DNA test. At around 35 pounds, I’m a healthy and athletic little guy, ready to bring a lot of joy and laughter into your life. I’m a friendly fellow who gets along great with other dogs. I may be a bit nippy at times—guess that herder dog instinct in me comes out—but don’t worry, I’m not aggressive and I definitely don’t bite. I’ve been working hard on this and I’m improving every day. I’m super intelligent and eager to please, so if you guide me, I’ll be a model companion. I’m a bit of a chatterbox and love to nibble on your ears—it tickles! My favorite way to show affection is with my funny face: I’ll curl up my lips in a playful growl while wagging my whole body and giving you the sweetest squinty-eyed smile. It’s pretty hard not to laugh around me! When it comes to cuddles, I’m a true velcro dog. I can’t get close enough to you, so be prepared for some serious snuggling. I share my foster home with Bruce (also looking for his forever home) and we have an absolute blast running and playing together. I get along with him and all the other dogs, even the older ones who might growl at me—I’m respectful and back off when needed. I may be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly to new people. I promise, with a little time, you’ll see my affectionate and playful side shine through.
Ideal Home
I'd be great with a couple of older kids. I prefer to sleep on the bed with you, snuggled close, but I’m also fine with other dogs joining us.
Ongoing Health
I’m up-to-date on my vetting.
Training & Support
I may be a bit nippy at times—guess that herder dog instinct in me comes out—but don’t worry, I’m not aggressive and I definitely don’t bite. I’ve been working hard on this and I’m improving every day. I’m super intelligent and eager to please, so if you guide me, I’ll be a model companion. I’m crate trained, and housetrained. I know basic commands and am very well-behaved. I’m great on the leash and in the car, so we can go on all sorts of adventures together.
