Meet Rouge – The Goofy Genius You’ve Been Waiting For!

Looking for a big, lovable goofball with a heart of gold and a smile that never quits? Say hello to Rouge – a 1.5-year-old, 75-pound Rottweiler mix who’s equal parts silly, smart, and sweet. Rouge is the kind of dog who’s always trying to make you laugh. Whether he’s tossing toys in the air, zooming around the yard, or giving you his signature “come and get me” look, this boy is full of personality. He’s incredibly intelligent and eager to please, always checking in and engaging with his people like he’s part of the conversation. He adores toys, playtime, and being part of the action.

Ideal Home

Rouge would thrive with a big, fenced yard to run, romp, and show off his zoomies. Because of his size and strength, we think Rouge would do best in a home that includes a confident male who can help continue reinforcing boundaries and respectful behavior. He’s not aggressive, just a big boy who’s still figuring out how much space he takes up in the world!

Ongoing Health

Growing up in a crowded CA shelter and not always being promised his next meal has led him to be protective over his food, but with regular health nutrition and consistency, he has been improving every day with routine and guidance.

Training & Support

Rouge is still young and working on his manners (yes, the occasional jump-up happens when he’s excited!), but he’s making great progress. With a little structure and consistency, this big-hearted pup is turning into a total rockstar. He is potty trained and crate trained.

Rouge is located at our facility in Riverside, CA. We offer transport within California and to surrounding states for an additional fee.
