Freddy-Loving, charming senior boy

Freddy is a sweet, 8-year-old boy who has officially retired from his puppy mischief days and is now a pro at relaxing, snuggling, and being an all-around great companion. He still enjoys his daily walks and playtime (tennis balls are his JAM!), but he’s happiest just hanging out with his people. Think of him as the perfect mix of chill and charm. Freddy is sweet, but he's getting more and more anxious and stressed at the shelter as the days go on. He would do well in a quieter household where he can enjoy a stable routine and plenty of companionship.

Freddy would do best in a quieter household with a stable routine and plenty of companionship. He has not liked the company of other dogs and would do best as the only dog in your home. This boy is suggested for children aged 12 years and up due to his instances of resource guarding and overall anxiety.

Freddy is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Freddy may be a bit anxious around new people, but with patience and a slow introduction, he warms up nicely. He’s also working on resource guarding with his toys, so he’ll benefit from an adopter willing to continue training and is confident with setting clear boundaries using positive reinforcement. He knows his basic commands (sit, down, shake) and seems to be potty trained. In the right home, he’ll thrive as a devoted and steady companion. He's eager to learn and a loyal boy.
