Cory

Cory is a super-sweet adult male Cocker Spaniel with a heart full of love to give! He’s very friendly with people, mellow, low energy, and absolutely adores being petted. Cory was rescued from a puppy mill in Busan, South Korea, and has since flown to Los Angeles to find his forever home. Despite a corneal scar and vision impairment in his right eye, he navigates the world with grace and is a wonderful companion for walks and everyday life.

Ideal Home

Cory would thrive in a home where he can feel safe and loved. Due to his history, he needs a patient adopter who understands that potty training may be a long process. For his safety and comfort, a home without young children is preferred to ensure entrances and exits are carefully managed. He also needs a confident, well-adjusted canine companion to help him learn and feel more secure. His foster mom has found he doesn't mark in her home when he's the only pet.

Ongoing Health

Cory has dry eye and a corneal scar on his left eye, and is non-visual in his right eye.

Training & Support

Puppy mill dogs like Cory require a gentle approach. Force-free training methods are recommended, as they are sensitive and thrive with kindness rather than dominance. He has a tendency to hump unfamiliar dogs until he gets to know them, so dog parks are not recommended. He has also historically marked when living with other dogs, and may require belly bands.
