Goose is a lovable Sheepadoodle, just 1 year old and weighing 78 pounds. He's a perfect blend of playful goofball energy and sweet cuddle-bug affection. Goose loves to stretch his long legs in a fenced yard, zoom around with bursts of joy, and soak up all the attention from his favorite people. He's happiest when he's by your side, whether he's exploring or leaning in for some love.
Ideal Home
Goose is a smart, fun, and affectionate boy who is still learning important life skills. He has a history of resource guarding around food and toys, so he will need a dog-savvy adopter who is committed to continuing positive training and helping him build confidence and good manners. Because of this, he may do best as the only pet in an adult-only home where he can feel secure and supported while he continues to grow.
Ongoing Health
Goose recently tested positive for Lyme disease, a tick-borne illness. Many dogs with Lyme disease never show symptoms and go on to live normal, happy lives. His adopter should continue routine veterinary care and maintain year-round flea and tick prevention. Our staff is happy to discuss his medical history and answer any questions. Like many doodle breeds, Goose's beautiful coat will require regular grooming to keep him comfortable and looking his best. His future family should be prepared for routine grooming appointments and consistent coat care at home.
Training & Support
Goose will need a dog-savvy adopter committed to continuing positive reinforcement training to help him build confidence and good manners, especially regarding resource guarding around food and toys. He is in our Paws Forward Program, so he gets 3 free training sessions with Janette from Kind K9s!
