Smokey

Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso and Weimaraner mix who weighs 53 pounds. He came to us as a stray and is now fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and ready to find his forever family! Smokey is a super sweet boy who just wants love and attention. He's incredibly smart, a quick learner, and has a heart full of kindness and affection. Smokey is very submissive with other dogs and loves a good game of chase. He also enjoys cuddling on the couch and is a total couch potato, happy to relax with you all day. With his gentle nature and friendly personality, he's the perfect companion for someone looking for a laid-back, easygoing, and loyal friend.

Ideal Home

Smokey would thrive in a home that offers love, patience, and a cozy place to rest. He would do well with a doggie companion as he loves playing with other dogs. Smokey would thrive in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. He would prefer a home without cats. Smokey would be best suited for someone with a house and not an apartment. Smokey would LOVE a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day.

Training & Support

Smokey is fully potty trained. He walks great on a leash and is easily redirected if he gets nervous around strangers or pulls slightly out of excitement. Smokey is not a huge fan of the crate and prefers not to be shut in it. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave, but he doesn't tear anything up and eventually stops crying.
