Howie

Howie is a very handsome, sweet, and gentle 4-5 year old Red Bone Coon Hound, possibly with some Labrador Retriever mixed in. He's a big boy with the determination and hunting instinct of a hound, and he really wants to be outside doing a job. Howie and his companion Sara were left behind at a local kennel and have been wondering why they are still there. We've spent a lot of time with both dogs, and they are so good, well-behaved, and love people.

Ideal Home

Howie needs to be with someone who knows the breed, has space to explore, and is ready to spend quality time with him.

Ongoing Health

Howie has been neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for heartworms, and is on monthly heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. He will be microchipped when adopted.

Training & Support

Howie is described as well-behaved and loves people.
