Papi Chulo De La Calle is a handsome, approximately 3-year-old gentleman with a quiet confidence and good looks. He's an easy companion who secures a spot on the couch and is a joy to be around. While his breed is estimated to be American Pit Bull Terrier mix, he's a rescue, so his exact breed and age are our best guess. Papi is a well-mannered, medium-energy dog with excellent dog social skills, lovely house manners, and an easygoing nature that makes him a wonderful companion. He's not overly busy or demanding, preferring to wander and sniff rather than stir up excitement. He enjoys companionship but doesn't require constant entertainment, making him wonderfully easy to live with. Papi is crate-trained, trustworthy in the home, rides beautifully in the car, and walks nicely on a leash. He can be a little reserved when meeting new people, taking time to gather information with a few sniffs before deciding you're a friend. Once he settles in, he shows his sweet and easygoing nature, handling new situations with impressive calm.
Ideal Home
Papi would love a home with a yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy outdoor time. He can happily join a home with other respectful dogs or be the one and only canine companion. He is not a good fit for homes with cats, as he showed interest in playing chase.
