OREO

Oreo is a young, mixed-breed puppy who came to us with regenerative anemia. This means his body is working hard to replace lost red blood cells, but we haven't yet identified the exact cause. Oreo will need ongoing medical management, close monitoring, and further diagnostics to figure out what's causing his anemia and to ensure he stays healthy. Unfortunately, the specialized care he needs is more than we can consistently provide here at the shelter. Despite everything, Oreo is a gentle soul who's doing his best and receiving supportive care. He's at risk of euthanasia due to the extensive medical needs that exceed our capabilities.

Ideal Home

Oreo needs a safe, compassionate home where he can receive the continuous medical evaluation, treatment, and monitoring he requires in a low-stress environment. This will give him the very best chance at recovery.

Ongoing Health

Oreo has regenerative anemia of an unknown cause. He will require ongoing medical management and diagnostics.

Training & Support

Oreo is gentle and is doing his best. He will need a home committed to his ongoing medical care.
