Petrie!

Petrie is a darling little Chihuahua mix puppy, born around April 24, 2025, and currently weighing 8 lbs. He's sweet, playful, and smart, with a love for romping around the house and yard playing chase with his dog buddies. Petrie adores stuffed toys, happily emptying the toy box to make a pile of his favorites, and he also enjoys bully sticks and other chewy bones. He's a charming pup who will keep you laughing with his silly antics and is patiently waiting for his forever family.

Ideal Home

Petrie would thrive in a home with a yard, as he's an alert barker and not suited for apartment living. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would benefit from a friendly canine companion to romp with and keep him company. While he is respectful of dog-savvy cats, he might chase shy kitties if they run. Due to his shyness with new people and potential to be overwhelmed, only dog-savvy, respectful children over 12 are recommended. He would also prefer to not live with overly dominant dogs, as they can intimidate him.

Training & Support

Petrie is crate trained and doing well with house training. He's also learning to walk politely on a leash. He can be shy with new people and may be intimidated by overly dominant dogs. Petrie would do best with a person who has the time, patience, and willingness to help him adjust and feel comfortable in a new home. He would also like someone who is home the majority of the time, or at least not gone for long hours daily.
