Julieta

Julieta is a 7-year-old female German Shepherd mix, weighing approximately 55 lbs. Don't let her size fool you; she absolutely adores hugs and affection and is seeking a loving, supportive family to shower with her love. Julieta and her brother Romeo were rescued at 6 months old, having experienced scarcity of food and water. They received extensive care and rehabilitation and are now eager to please. Julieta is social, enjoys playing with other dogs, and is intelligent, learning quickly to be a good guardian. She walks well on a leash, loves to sniff the air during long walks, and listens attentively to commands. She also enjoys car rides and outdoor playtime.

Ideal Home

Julieta needs a family that is committed to rescuing a dog, understanding the needs of a street animal, and has experience with dog behavior and training. Patience and tolerance are a must for this sweet girl.

Ongoing Health

Julieta is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on her vaccinations, including DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella. She has been dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. She also receives monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. A health certificate and vaccine booklet are provided.

Training & Support

Julieta is not house-trained and will require ongoing training and patience in this area. She is intelligent and listens well to commands, but will benefit from continued positive reinforcement and guidance.

• You will complete an online application, followed by a phone/email interview.
• A home check (virtual or in-person) will be conducted.
• A virtual meet and greet will be arranged.
• A trial adoption period will be offered.
• The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming, a month of preventive treatment, and a health certificate.

Transporation

Julieta is currently fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. She is available for transport to the East Coast of the US on our next cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure.
