Lovebug is a sweet soul who is learning to trust. She can be nervous when meeting new people and needs time, patience, and understanding to feel safe. Once she realizes she's in a calm, predictable, and safe environment, she begins to blossom. She forms quiet, loyal, and incredibly special bonds with her people. Lovebug also finds confidence in the company of other dogs and enjoys playing with canine friends who help her feel more secure. She is a soft little soul who, once she trusts, never looks back. She may take time, but she is absolutely worth it. She is an estimated 2 years old and will weigh an estimated 40lbs when fully grown. Lovebug has done well with dogs she has met and has been house-trained and crated well at the Trails Home Farm. She knows cues like sit, down, sit pretty, and wait. While Lovebug meets children nicely, she would prefer a quieter home with adults or older teenagers. Her dislikes are unknown, but she enjoys affection, cuddles, dogs, treats, and walks.
Ideal Home
A patient, dog-savvy home that understands the value of letting a shy dog come into her own time. She doesn't need pressure, she needs kindness, consistency, and someone willing to let her open up at her own pace. A home with adults or older teenagers.
Ongoing Health
No known health conditions. She has been spayed/neutered, received her first 3 distemper series vaccines and dewormings, and a rabies vaccine (age-appropriate at time of adoption). She is microchipped with lifetime no registration fees and is current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative.
Training & Support
Lovebug knows basic cues such as sit, down, sit pretty, and wait. She has done well in her kennel at the Trails Home Farm.
