Luther is a sweet, silly, high-energy 1-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix who is eager to find his forever home! He's about 55 pounds and his bouncy floppy ears and playful spirit are sure to bring smiles to your face. Luther loves to play fetch and tug, and once his exercise needs are met, he's happy to settle in for snuggles and belly rubs. He enjoys being close to his humans and is very affectionate. While he can be a little skittish with new people at first, he warms up quickly with gentle reassurance.
Ideal Home
Luther would thrive in an active home that can provide him with regular exercise and continued guidance. A backyard would be a bonus for his zoomies, but daily walks and playtime are also great. He can adapt to apartment or house living. He seems to prefer human interaction but can live with other dogs. If you do not have other dogs in the home, please be prepared to discuss how you plan to socialize him.

Training & Support
Luther is house-trained and has had no accidents since arriving in foster care. He sleeps well in his crate and settles within a few minutes after a brief protest. He is still learning what is and isn't a toy, so he is not yet ready to be left loose in the house unsupervised. He can be a bit barky when seeing other dogs on leash, but he walks well alongside another dog, and this can improve with training. He does not exhibit any resource guarding.
