About Nova

Meet Nova... Proof that one "Yes" can change everything!

Nova's story almost ended before it had the chance to begin. This beautiful girl was sitting in a small rural animal control facility where the future is heartbreaking for far too many dogs. When a compassionate group of volunteers met Nova, they knew she deserved a second chance. They reached out to us, and once we learned about her, there was only one answer: yes.

That one "yes" sent Nova on an incredible journey—traveling more than 400 miles and changing hands four different times as volunteers worked together to bring her safely to join the Serendipity pack. Through every stop along the way, Nova remained the perfect passenger. She rode beautifully in the car, greeted every new person with a wagging tail, and happily accepted affection (and gave plenty of kisses in return!). Her resilience, trust, and sweet spirit impressed everyone who met her. Now it's Nova's turn to find the family she's traveled so far to meet.

At 2 1/2 years old and weighing 75 pounds, Nova is a stunning sable-coated German Shepherd with a smile that lights up a room. She has a joyful, outgoing personality and believes that every stranger is simply a friend she hasn't kissed yet. Nova genuinely loves people of all ages, including children. Because she's such a big, enthusiastic girl, she would likely do best with older children or younger kids who are comfortable around large, playful dogs that sometimes forget just how big they are.

Ideal Home

Like many confident shepherds, Nova enjoys being in charge. She may do well with another dog who has a more easygoing, submissive personality, but she would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only companion. She has not been tested with cats.
