Bear

Bear is a 10-month-old, 53-pound Labrador Retriever mix who is bursting with love, personality, and youthful enthusiasm! This handsome boy is incredibly sweet and friendly, and he gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. Bear truly enjoys being around everyone and is happiest when he has company. As a young Lab mix, Bear has plenty of energy and loves to run, play, and burn off steam. He is house-trained but not yet crate-trained. Bear is looking for an active family that understands he's still very much a puppy at heart. With proper exercise, structure, and love, he will reward his family with endless affection, loyalty, and entertainment.

Ideal Home

A home with another playful dog is highly preferred, or a doggy daycare would be an excellent outlet for him. Yards MUST be adequately and fully fenced; electric or underground fences are not accepted.

Ongoing Health

Bear is fully vetted, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and kept on heartworm and flea prevention.

Training & Support

Bear has food-related resource guarding due to his past experiences. He must be fed separately from other dogs, but this behavior is limited to feeding situations. Adopters should be committed to managing feeding time appropriately and continuing positive reinforcement training to help him build confidence and trust.

Transporation

Bear is currently being fostered in Texas but can be transported anywhere in the States and even in Canada to the right home. Transport can be arranged for approved adopters.
