Rescued by LOVAR in a deeply distressed state, Toby has undergone months of dedicated care and rehabilitation. His scars are a testament to his past, but his spirit shines through his unwavering affection for people. He's a keen pleaser and thrives on positive reinforcement, forming a bond that goes beyond mere companionship. Toby dreams of a life where he can relax, enjoy the simple pleasures, and become someone's devoted best friend.

Ideal Home

Toby adores people and is eager to please, making him a wonderful companion. While he enjoys the company of other dogs and co-habitats well with his current canine friends (a submissive male pit mix and several medium-sized females), he prefers to be selective about his doggy playmates. He's a quiet boy who doesn't bark excessively or suffer from separation anxiety, though he will alert you to potential danger. He is content to relax by your side, whether at your feet or on the couch, and does not chew destructively.

Ongoing Health

Toby is a survivor who has been nursed back to health after enduring significant abuse and neglect. He has healed from past wounds and is now in good health, ready for a loving home.

Training & Support

Toby responds exceptionally well to love and positive reinforcement. He has no known behavioral issues other than a preference for carefully chosen canine friendships. He is happy to be crated but would much rather be a part of the family, resting peacefully nearby.
